The 2012 Teens Choice Awards Nominations

The 2012 Teen Choice Awards nominations have been announced and the CW drama The Vampire Diaries leads the way with six nods, while American Idol and Justin Bieber follow with five each. Diaries earned nominations for Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Choice TV Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi for both Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, and Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi nominations for Nina Dobrev and Kat Graham. Choice Single by a Female Artist nominees are "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele, "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson, "Dance Again" by Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull, "Part of Me" by Katy Perry and "Eyes Open" by Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend," Drake's "Take Care", Flo Rida's "Good Feeling", Bruno Mars' "It Will Rain" and "Give Me Everything" by Pitbull are up for Choice Single by a Male Artist. The Teen Choice Awards will air live on Sunday, July 22nd at 8 PM Eastern on FOX.

Choice Male Artist nominees are Bieber, Drake, Mars, Pitbull and Blake Shelton and Choice Female Artist nominees are Adele, Lopez, Perry, Rihanna and Swift.

Ian Somerhalder is also vying for Choice Male Hottie against Bieber, multi-nominee Ryan Gosling, Liam Hemsworth and Robert Pattinson. The Choice Female Hottie nominees are Katy Perry, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and model Kate Upton.
